Automated Update Service
Some of our applications have an automatic update feature that periodically checks to see if an updated version of application is available from Nulana. This feature sends Non-Personal Information to Nulana, including the version of application you are using and your operating system version. This feature checks update availability by making an HTTP connection to host "downloads.nulana.com" and reading an XML file with information about currently available version.
Some of our applications have a crash-reporting feature that sends a report to Nulana if application crashes. Nulana uses the information in the crash reports to diagnose and correct the problems that caused the crash. This feature starts automatically after application crashes. This feature sends a variety of Non-Personal Information to Nulana, including the stack trace (a detailed description of which parts of application code were active at the time of the crash), type of computer you are using and your operating system version. It does not send any part of the system log files. This feature sends crash reports by making an HTTP connection to host "nulana.com" and transmitting a plain-text report message.
